So we were out roaming around our new wormhole exit tonight looking for kills. It had been a rather slow evening so far with very few targets other than one close encounter with a 10 man Battlecruiser gang. Being just 2 hac, an inty, a drake and a blackbird we had opted out of suicide and had headed back up the chain.

We had just about decided to throw in the towel for the night when we see a group of pirates on the gate to Jan.

So for the past few days we have been pirating in lowsec, and its really starting to become apparent that folks just have no idea whats going on, or that *gasp* people might actually be out there to do them harm.

Yesterday morning we got a wormhole to my new favorite system in eve, Faswiba. Im taking a class this summer semester, so I tend to be up early and usually way before anyone else. Soloing sleepers usually tends to be unprofitable, and one can only nom on so many rocks. So I figured PvP time.

So Alajah and I enjoy shooting folks, sometimes the folks we shoot at shoot back, and sometimes they bring friends. Occasionally they bring enough ships to equal the National GDP of a small country.

So we have been in w-space for almost a week now. Starting to get used to how everything works, and what to expect from the denizens that inhabit our new home. We have gotten fairly good at clearing the sites although some of them still give us a bit of difficulty, but we are improving a bit every day.

Some of us have been able to mine for the first time in years…and in quantitys that are simply sick. I saw an Omber roid today that would barely fit into our PoS shield!

However, the one thing we havent seen much of is PvP. Well tonight that changed…

RQI has been a corp / guild for many years, originally started back in 1997 with Ultima Online. Back in our UO days we had a competition, we’d seal off an area and then have a nice big FFA PvP event, and the winner got a prize.
